what we do
Missouri M.A.D.E.: Mobilizing And Diversifying Elections identifies, recruits and trains Missouri women to run for public office.
Missouri M.A.D.E. envisions a state and nation where women--especially Black, trans, LGBTQ+, poor, rural and other marginalized women--are equally represented in elected office in local, state and federal levels of government.
how we recruit and train women
Host events (currently only in a virtual format, via Facebook Live or Zoom) such as:
Leadership Lunches with current candidates
Discussions with women in office
Identity exploration sessions, such as LGBTQ+ leadership
Offer training and resources to future candidates through our leadership summits and empowerment database
Publish a monthly newsletter highlighting the ongoing work of women leaders and legislators in Missouri
Partner with community and women's empowerment organizations across Missouri and the country to pool resources for women candidates
Want to connect with our Candidate Recruitment and Engagement Director? Email Chloe at firstname.lastname@example.org.
*As a 501(c)(3) non-profit, we cannot endorse candidates or directly engage in campaign activities. We can, however, encourage women to run for office and provide them with the resources and training to do so.*
what our community is saying
I feel so inspired and empowered by your programming. This is a moment of such uncertainty so it’s wonderful to see others fighting for a better world.
Very thankful to see all the support for running for office as a woman.
Connecting with women from across the country who also want to work in public service is so inspiring and makes my dream of running for office feel validated.
